Ardhi Gallery has teamed up with Akachit, the studio of renowned artist Peter Elungat, to establish a residency and mentorship program aimed at nurturing emerging artists. This collaboration offers selected artists an immersive residency experience, complete with access to mentorship, essential resources, and dedicated studio space. Under the guidance of Peter Elungat’s expertise and the encouraging community at Ardhi Gallery, participants can enhance their artistic practice and cultivate their creative voices in a collaborative setting. Together, Ardhi and Akachit are committed to fostering the next generation of artistic talent, driving growth and innovation within the art community. We are dedicated to supporting emerging and mid-career artists by providing them with opportunities for professional development.

Jennifer Msekwa, Felister Gatwiri, Reson Njeri, and Mokeira Gitamo—four talented emerging female artists—thrived in our mentorship program, where they had the opportunity to grow and present their artwork at the gallery. In the video, Felister briefly shares her inspiring experience from the two-week program hosted at Peter Elungat’s Akachit studio. Ardhi Gallery is dedicated to supporting emerging and mid-career artists by providing valuable opportunities for their growth.

FOTA, a vital partner in the Ardhi Akachit Mentorship Program, has provided funding for the second cohort of female artists, who will receive mentorship from the esteemed artist Peter Elungat. Furthermore, the Financial Literacy Foundation will offer financial literacy training, while ChezaCheza will facilitate activities focused on building self-confidence. Ardhi Gallery is dedicated to supporting emerging and mid-career artists by providing valuable opportunities for their growth.
